ABOUT US:
Hello and Welcome to our web site. Big Oak Farm is now located in the Mammoth Cave area of Kentucky. We are situated between Bowling Green and Louisville, convenient to both the Western KY Parkway and I-65.
We started with Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats in 2003 and enjoyed raising our miniature dairy goats for 5 years. As our children got older and after we started to become more familiar with all the different dairy breeds, we decided it was time for a change. Today, we are owned by a very small herd of LaManchas.
Herd health is extremely important to us. Our herd is tested annually for CAE, CL, Johnes, and Brucellosis. Our goats are kept up to date on CDT, de-worming, and hoof trimming. All kids are disbudded and tattooed at just a few days old. We work very hard to maintain a healthy herd. To keep our numbers more easily manageable, we usually offer most of the kids born on our farm for sale.
